If you ask TBoy to describe his way of life, he will probably use a graffiti quote he saw somewhere on the wall of East London - 'Don't grow up it's a trap!'

When producing music, Antonio Colantuoni aka TBoy goes deep into his own world of imagination, childhood fantasies and space travels. His musical inspiration lies in the melodies of bands like Eurythmics and Nirvana through to early drum n' bass and UK garage.

Italian born, Antonio found his real home in London. Before developing his current sound he has spent years working in different recording studios in Italy and in the UK. In London he worked with the likes of A Guy Called Gerald and Justin Drake from Peace Division mixing down his first tracks and laying down the foundation which would see him not long after start to release in his own right and collaborate with other producers and peers such as Wildkats.

His studio is his church and he has spent little time away from it over the past two years, honing his skills and cementing his sound. Finally he is in the position whereby his creative process is supported and liberated through a solid, educated and committed technological understanding which means, 'If I got an idea, I know how to put it in my music straightway'.

Signed to the Mexicans Neim Records and Akbal Music, the Spanish Suruba and Miguel Campbell's Outcross Records between 2011 and 2012 TBoy's productions are strongly influenced by hip hop and 80s and 90s vibes. His latest EP - As U on Neim Records - has been supported by the likes of MANDY, Bloody Mary, Gel Abril, My Favorite Robot, Tom Budden, Los Suruba, Amine Edge among others and the track "Try Again" has been featured on the Amnesia Ibiza Electronica mixed by Mar-T.

Aside from his solo project TBoy collaborates on a regular basis with London based trio Wildkats - a project that has pulled out one EP on Neim Records (To Be) and another EP on Akbal Music (Be An Example) also receiving great response and support. The track "Denied" on Hot Waves Volume 3 (September 2012) is also a success born out this collaboration and has been described as an Acid Monster!

His pre-summer work - the remix of Mantis from Los Suruba on Suruba (June 2012) was recently featured on the Space Ibiza Compilation 2012 mixed by Edu Imbernon & MYNC. A full EP "Part of Me" followed on Suruba in December 2012 with original vocals by Ben Russell.

His next releases - on Outcross Records (The People Love U EP - with a club edit remix by Miguel Campbell) and on Digital Delight are due between February and March 2013.

TBoy is currently signed to Slowpoke London (splagency.com)
