A piece I wrote for the IB Music program. The idea that is behind it is as follows:
Now enters a young woman onto a drab, grayscale street where the only things with color are the taxis, including the one she gets out of, and herself. The young woman leaves the safety of the taxi into a wet, drab scene in the middle of a bustling city- a turning point has occurred in her life, leaving her down and out, but soon her emotions turn for the better as she revels in the moisture from the sky and her heart soars. The scene (mostly the rain) that she is in is represented by the piano, while the cello is her heart.
