Long considered Drum&Bass’ best kept secret, Task Horizon has seen their publicity pick up massive momentum this year due to the viral nature of the internet and the sheer penetrating power of their musical output.
It all started in the decidedly Bohemian setting of an abandoned and dilapidated factory plant in the outskirts of Zürich. Here, fledgling producer/DJ Aaron von Schroeder set up his music studio on the first floor and started churning out tracks and collaborating with folks from the local scene. Jazz keyboardist Tim Kleinert had his practice room downstairs and would sometimes come up during breaks to stick around and jam over Aaron’s newest beats. The unique encounter between “mad scientist” producer and (equally mad) synthesizer virtuoso produced an hard-hitting musical mixture which was just too tempting to resist, and so these casual jams rapidly developed into production sessions of growing intensity and regularity.
Their combination of forward-thinking production and unrivalled imagination has landed a string of consistent hits since their debut in 2004. Since then, their unparalleled work ethic and desire has seen the cream rise to the top, and landed them releases on labels such as DSCI4, Timeless, C4C , Mainframe, and Dissected Culture to name but a few.
Task Horizon is an internationally acclaimed D'n'B act from Switzerland. They have released material on the finest of US and UK labels (see above) and are supported by key players like Noisia, Ed Rush and Optical, Optiv, Adam F, J Majik, Andy C and Pendulum.
