DJ Taranis, born on the Isle of Rügen in 1983, is based in Hamburg, Germany. As DJ he has been spinning the turntables since 2007. After he has joined his first trance festival, the Dark-Psy and Full-On trance range was subject of his musical passion at first. But from 2009, after he has visited the legendary Fusion Festival, he more and more focussed on the progressive part of trance. In 2010 he caught the attantion of Murus who has been one of the founders of the well known progressive label IONO Music. He invited Taranis to play on several IONO events and soon he became one of the few IONO Label DJs in northern Germany.
After Murus has quitted his partnership with IONO and started Landmark Recordings, it was just a question of time that Taranis follows his friend, providing the trance community with the psychedelic progressive sound of Landmark Recordings. Among several well known events Taranis has been playing countless club parties around Germany.
His sound can be described as energetic and powerful. His mixing skills are topnotch and with his undisputable music taste and confident feeling to bring the right sound to the right time, he can be counted as one of the DJ Newcomers of the last years.
