Born in Agana Heights, Guam, to a young couple in the Air Force, Tak Havoc (Tyler Alexander) was quickly moved from an island climate to the cold land known by its residents as The Last Frontier. At an early age, Tak developed a love for music, hip hop in particular. By the end of high school in 2007, Tak had begun making his own hip hop tracks after being strongly inspired by the California-based rap group Magnetic North. In 2011, Tak signed on with local label Tru City Records. However, shortly after releasing his fist collaborative mixtape "The Calm", he stepped down from Tru City Records, largely due to creative differences. Now, back at square one, Havoc began a quest for a new start for his craft. Mid-2011, the desperate rapper came into contact with Johnny Kohler, an independent producer based in Fairbanks, AK. After their first recording session, they both knew they were on to something. While Johnny remains Havoc's primary producer, Havoc has also worked on a few track with Trinity Beats, also based in Fairbanks.

Inspired largely by the insanity of modern culture, Tak Havoc aims to stir up the feelings of listeners through irreverent and insightful lyrics laced with attacks on our government, religion, and empty-headed celebrities while promoting the high life and unity. His delivery ranges from light-hearted and carefree, to passionate and filled with desperation.
