Solo project of Tiago Marques, a Portuguese auto-didact musician.
Genre: Folk, Instrumental, Progressive
Tiago Marques created his first musical project in 2008, named. His mission: change the way the accordion is seen by people in general. The first songs created were very dark and intense, like the sound track of a horror movie. 4 demos were released in a very brief period of time, between 2008 and 2009.
Tiago Marques then voluntarily shifted his music style to a more conventional song-writing approach, joined electronica, folk, jazz and other influences in a mix that resulted in two albums: Espíritos and A Viagem. The latter proved to be a fan-favorite, reaching all the continents through the Jamendo.com platform.
That project turned into a real band in 2011, with a few live shows made during that year. Then, the band split up at the beginning of 2012. All the songs performed under Cerebral Pain were originally released as free downloads.
Raising from the ashes of Cerebral Pain (2008-2011), this music pretends to be mature and complex, with certain touches of ambient.
Here I present 4 tracks composed (excluding Badinerie, which is a composition from Bach), interpreted and produced by me.
Several guests will perform vocals in some of the songs present in my debut LP "Expressive Folk".
