Synth Alien, seudónimo tras el que se esconde el lucense Alberto Sanmartín vive en Antas de Ulla, centro geográfico de Galicia. Su relación con la música electrónica viene del año 2000 cuando comienza a frecuentar, como espectador, clubs del norte de España. La SciFi, el Amor, Detroit, La Haya, el Cosmos y la Pista de Baile son entre otras, sus grandes influencias. Su pasión por la música, así como su curiosidad e interés por la tecnología, lo conducen en 2007 a jugar con cajas de ritmo, sintetizadores y secuenciadores. A finales de 2009 publica su álbum debut Cosmic Odyssey en el sello italiano Le Galassie di Seyfert Records. Desde entonces sigue haciendo música.
