:: During the Winter of 2011 in a cold windowless basement, Alicia Amiri, Blair Field, Cassidy Gonzales and Colin Roper began to forge a unique sound that became known as Nightmare Fortress. Armed with an arsenal of guitars, synths and beat machines, an eerily danceable foundation was laid for Amiri’s vocals to brood over. A collective energy crept through the darkness. To enhance the Fortress, a light show was added: the full spectrum was complete. After a handful of hometown Seattle shows and a west coast tour, recording was the next stage. Once again in the basement, “Until the Air Runs Out” was recorded and mixed by the band. Pressed by Sweating Tapes, the EP will be released this June, on limited edition opaque red vinyl.
