Sven Dorphine was born in Duisburg, Germany in 1980. He was involved with musicians since he was born because his
father and uncle were guitarists. Since his 6th birthday he went to every one of their concerts and helped with
setting up the instruments as well as the removal. As he was searching his father's record collection for the first
time, he discovered an album of Jean Michel Jarre. Since that day he was abducted to electronic music. As the
years went by he gathered a lot of things related to the underground movement, mainly tapes. At the age of 12 the
first cd-players showed up and with them the wish being a DJ. At the age of 13 he bought his first pitchable
turntable and a DJ mixer and made his first steps as a DJ ( what met with moderate success).
At the age of 14-16 he took a break from electronic music and focused on playing the guitar and giving concerts
with his band. The first club visits came soon and his abduction to the electronic music was reborn. It didn't take
long until he started his first mixing with 2 belt driven turntables (together with an old friend). In 1998 he was
given his first Technics 1210 turntables and mixing wasn't a struggle any longer. In between the years 2000 and 2001
he had his first gigs at small clubs and private parties. Till 2004 he made his first steps in producing, using the
music software "Reason" of Propellerheads. In late 2004 he took a break from music because of his profession.
In 2006 one of his friends bought his first Mac, including software like Ableton Live. Whenever he had some time
left he was trying to familiarize with this program. Since 2008 he dealt with producing music more intensively,
a fact that's lasting till today...
