I have been a school librarian for almost 27 years. In 2003, I started writing stories for children, mostly in rhyme. I discovered that I am able to hear the rhythm of the written sentence quite well and I enjoy this type of work. I put my stories on my website at this link:

Several years ago I met a composer of childrens' music who agreed to give me a few lessons. At that time I had little experience with music other than a few piano lessons as a child which came to nothing. I arrived at my first lesson with a poem. I didn't know what I was doing. However,I kept the lessons going, focusing on songs for children and have learned so much.I have even branched outto write some satirical songs, mostly historical.
Because I am unable to play the piano well, have a professional entertainer playing and singing my songs into a recorder. He is also able to use my melodies as a base for improvisations. He is amazing!I put my songs on my website:

I notice that my songs are extremely different from other music I hear on this cloud. May I say that what I am hearing from those who post on soundcloud is exquisite, so, thank you all for your contributions.
