Seaward sleepy waves
I'll drift out, won't count the days
watch the sun smile back at me
as he shines so gracefully
Chirping rats with wings
the kind that squawk but never sing
they're vagabonds that can't get a break
thank the sun for every bite they take

Where's my keeper?
Is he just another sailor
trapped at the docks
wearing salt-stained socks?

Behold the fall
my home it calls

Deep blue waterbed
that is where I'll lay my head
give me sweet dreams I won't fight
make my REM rebound alright
Healing UV rays
help my sunburn peel away
shed this scornful mortal husk
I should be cleaned up by dusk

Where's my keeper?
Is he just another sailor
sleeping on his boat
almost losing hope?

Behold the fall
my home it calls

(mic drop)
