If any adjective can easily describe SuperF111’s Richard Foster it’s ‘persistent’. Richard was born in Nottingham, England to working class parents who migrated to Australia and lived in many different parts of Victoria, Australia. He was one of four children and had to constantly compete for attention. His family moved around a lot so he became fiercely independent at an early age. He was first exposed to some of the most influencial rock/metal bands of the 70’s, the likes of Kiss, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Led Zeppelin and Van Halen. As a result, his first singing experience was as lead singer in an Iron Maiden tribute band! Not an easy task by anyone’s standards but he quickly fell in love with music and being in front of an audience.
