The Radioactive Orchestra is a “scientific musical translator” based on our current knowledge of the structures of atomic nuclei in nuclear physics. Using the Radioactive Orchestra, we can create melodies and rhythmic patterns that are based on the nuclear energy levels and gamma radiation observed in experiments at accelerator laboratories around the world.

Radioactive Orchestra Remixed is the result of a competition held by Studio Barnhus, KTH Royal Institute of Technology and KSU. Using Radioactive Orchestra's online music composer, contestants were able to submit their own compositions. The two winning contributions, by The ZZZZZ and Abdulla Rashim, have been remixed by Âme and Jonsson/Alter.
