Coming from a heavy metal music background, Struz was able to quickly slip into the harder genres of electronic music. He began listening to hard trance at the age of 15 and by the age of 18 he had purchased his first set of turntables. This started his long relationship with electronic music and DJing. Beginning his journey by playing styles like hard trance, hardstyle and hardcore, then slowly moving to trance and progressive trance before making the quick cross over to progressive house and house, then to electro in 2006/2007.
Struz now enjoys playing tracks from genres such as, house, dutch, electro, breaks, dubstep and dnb.
Over the years Struz has made the common cross over from playing music, to making music. He has been playing around with computer-based DAW applications since acquiring his first turntables, but only recently has he begun to enter into remix competitions and release remix and bootleg edits.
