Taken from Fac. Dance 02, out September 18th on Strut Records.

    From the album's liner notes:

One of the more mysterious artists to record for the Factory / Crépuscule axis, Thick Pigeon was essentially a vehicle for songwriter Stanton Miranda and arranger Carter Burwell. Based in New York, the duo recorded a brace of minimalist artpop singles for Crépuscule before switching to Factory for their first album, Too Crazy Cowboys, produced by Stephen Morris and Gillian Gilbert (as Be Music) at Strawberry in 1983. Gilbert’s sister Kim also guests. Post Pigeon, Carter Burwell has scored over 50 major motion pictures, including all films by the Coen brothers. “Thick Pigeon hold the distinction of being the first Factory US record to be mastered digitally,” proclaimed the press release for Fact 85. “A unique event for an equally unique record, it has already been called ‘a walk through the civilisation of your soul’”’ Adds Miranda today: “Up north everyone was very polite, except that every other word would be cunt.”
