Listening to other sets made me realize how 'short' a lot of them really are. Dj's nowadays tend to play for only an hour or perhaps a little longer, but hardly more than two hours. That’s why I wanted to do something a little over the top. This will probably be the longest set you'll ever hear.

I got my inspiration from my English roots. Being half English and living in Holland, I thought it would be nice to pay a tribute to my island on the other side of the North Sea. The North of the island Great Britain is divided into four parts, the dales, lakes, borders and peaks. All parts of have different cultures and different landscapes.

All parts are separated by interludes, which makes this a 4in1 set.

'The Dales' are nice and slow, easy to listen to en build up for 'The Lakes', which is the second hour. A lot of tech-house, dub techno and some softer Detroit techno.

'The Lakes' are a little bit more up tempo. Some Detroit techy stuff, combined with housey and minimal techno.

'The Borders' is the longest part, mainly Detroit techno with a lot of Berghain influenced music, also at the end some more pounding techno. This four hour part is a huge ascent, ending of course, at 'The Peaks'.

The Peaks of course, will be 4/4 142 bpm techno. Merciless tribal, Neapolitan, offbeat and acid techno.

Enjoy it just as much as I enjoyed recording it!
