In October 2009, Trever Gerlach aka Streets of Neon learned what a chord was. Less than two years later in June 2011, a top house music producer was offering to collaborate with him. He's learning and advancing quickly as a producer in the house music industry and has no plans of slowing down.
Eight months into his career, a SoN remix was noticed by Grammy Award winning band, Ozomatli and a few months after that, he earned his way onto a record label. On this label, Rupture Records, SoN has two official remixes released on major online retailers, including Beatport and is sold world-wide. One is a progressive house jam featuring electric guitar and the other is an eclectic minimal track with a unique feel, swelling build and huge groove. In addition to progressive and miminal house, he's also made tracks in the style of electro house, nu disco, dubstep, hip-hop and even pop. In many tracks, these styles blend and create a whole new feel entirely and prove flexibility and, more importantly, creativity.
In June 2011, SoN won a remix competition hosted by Grammy-nominated producer BT. BT appreciated the remix so much, he contacted SoN and a collaboration between BT, SoN and vocal artist Plumb is on its way.
