Streams of Europe was initially the code name of a sound and game design experiment. The idea was to create a soundtrack first, then build a video game upon it. Several albums and live sessions later, it appeared music had become a bit more than just a soundtrack.
The imaginary world at the origin of the project started to take form around 1994, as a pen & paper role-playing game. Many changes occured through the years, and many other media were tried. The musical aspect only emerged in the end of 2007. It’s meant to describe the horrors and wonders of Europe, after the Rain.
Streams of Europe evolved to a multimedia collective in the beginning of 2009. They’re currently focused on the development of the game. It seems like music is still too important to be simply put on hold, though.
I really love this part, it's very emotional.
I love this part. What tune is it?
I love the very eclectic yet smooth overall feeling. Great mix!
Kickass! The perfect audiocaffeine for nightly work sessions :)
Just what I needed along with a big shot of caffeine to go through a sleepy afternoon. Great mix!
Man, that's a damn cool mix. Great anti-zombie device on apathic friday mornings.
Brilliant mix, atmospheric yet punchy. Many thanks for sharing this.
This is quite awesome.
This makes me shiver.
Lovely metallic sound.
@kanjmar 1.9.6.7: Thanks for your comments! We'll make these tracks available for download soon, after a bit of tweaking.
Great track. It reminds me a bit of Audion.
@synthesizer: Thanks for the post! In return, there's now a link to Synthtopia on http://europeaftertherain.com (under Nice People). It just seems fair to promote people who promote Streams of Europe's stuff :)
