I think often movies are made an then a soundtrack is made to assist in the story telling. I feel like this works in reverse and now a movie should be made around this piece. Or at least a really good scene for a television series.

@Connor Helms: Thanks for your feedback. Rubato might be nice. I'm sure it would sound much nicer in general if it was actually played by a pianist. As for the lack of development and dynamics, it's meant to be still and calm, but if you listen closely there is a vague melody in the bass.

that's actually a surprising ending. good piece, I think it could use a bit of development though, alla minimalism cells. you basically have the rhythm in the bass and the chordal accompaniment. without changing anything note/rhythm wise, simply adding interest via dynamics would turn a good piece into a great one if done with a vision of tension and relief. also, delay some of those bass note ever so slightly (rubato) now and then at strategic locations coinciding with the dynamics, and voila.
