About

"Stereotypy": a repetitive or ritualistic movement, posture, or utterance.

Basically I'm a student attempting to create my own interpretations of the sounds, emotions, and feelings that i perceive when listening to good music.

My biggest influences atm- M83, Lovebirds, The Revenge, Craig Smith, Telefon Tel Aviv,The Smashing Pumpkins, Man Without Country.. the list could go on and on. In many of my works, I try to take the elements that I love from these artists and twist them in a way that serves my needs; and while I don't think i've closed the gap between simply *knowing* what sounds good and having the ability to *create* what sounds good, I feel that creating a large volume of work and receiving feedback from my peers will allow me to finally do so. Oh yeah, and subtractive synthesis? Clueless.

tl,dr; smack-house pioneer for the nu-beat generation.

and then right here, where you throw in a nice, simple kick/snare perc pattern to really drive the previously snare-free, "atmospheric" work and give it a driving groove to wrap it up.. so well done. along with the subtle vocals.. just perfect. seriously this is like, my track of the moment. excellent job. i'd love to take a swing at this if you felt the inclination to send the stems my way.

God i love that off-beat bleep groove on the "and" of beats 3 and 4. So simple, so elegant. and then the percussive bassline-like groove fills it out so nicely. excellent, excellent work. *favorited*

@ C i c c- ahaha, ok, that's my friend oscar's project/website. i never even knew he posted it up there, lol. again, i appreciate you taking the time to listen and actually reach out/search for good music, it really means a lot :)

@defølt- thanks man, i really tend to focus on my percussion sequencing, and rarely use loops if at all possible (except for conga/bongo lines and such)

sequenced- i used ABL2. it's a note-for-note transcription of the original pattern, however.
