Stephen started his career at 17 years old in the north east of England in 1998, where he gained a three night weekly residency in the main room of the best club in his home town of Darlington playing his passion, deep and soulful house music. After a few months he took up more offers of residencies and guest events all around the cities and towns of the north east.
Towards the end of 2002 stephen started to play a lot more underground disco and eighties electro in his dj sets, as his passion and knowledge for this music started to grow. He then teamed up with disco legend Nigel Wanless (aka 'Brutus Gold') owner of 'Phreek productions'. Together they started a Studio 54 night. The night was a huge success and was booked to tour the whole of the United Kingdom. It had residencies in places such as; 'Arch 9' in Manchester, 'The Works' in Nottingham, 'The Empire' in Middlesbrough, Bath and Leeds university, Fubar in Stirling, Scotland, Oceana in London and Gatecrasher in Leeds.
Stephen still wanted to keep playing and spreading the word of his first love, house music. So he created a night called 'RAW'. The night was held at a club in Darlington called 'Atlantic'. The club had already hosted such dj's as; Jazzy Jeff, Kerri Chandler, Dennis Ferrer, Timmy Regisford, Theo Parrish and many more. The dj's that 'RAW' brought to the club were; Jay-j, Dj spinna, Hippie Torales, Mr V, Franck Roger, Greg Wilson, Billy Davidson, Steve butler, Neil Pierce, Halo, Jamie Thinnes and quentin harris. Stephen was the promoter and resident dj for the 'RAW' nights and had the pleasure of working with all these dj's.
In april 2008 stephen released his mixed compilation album '54' on Universal records. The album went to number 1 in the singapore compilation charts, and is still available in stores
August 2009 Stephen joined the team at the brand new 'StereoLab' club in singapore. This club has one of the best sound systems in the world designed and built by Craig Bernabeu (soundsytems by Shorty). Stephen is one of the main residents for StereoLab and has played alongside dj's such as Frankie Knuckles, David Morales, Tony Humphries, Simon Baker, Derrick Carter, Tiger Stripes, AudioJack, Nicholas Matar, Scarlet Etienne, Spencer Parker, Burnski and more.
Stephen joined The Fierce Angel dj team to represent them in Asia. This UK based label was formed by Legend Mark Doyle.
Stephen started producing his own music at the begining of 2009 and now has releases on UK based label 'City West records'. He also has upcoming releases on Croatian label 'Acilectro' and 'alcilectro blue', singapore label 'Rawjak' and UK label 'Development Music'.
