About
Stefan Drechsel is able to make you pause in the chaos, and listen. The London based singer songwriter creates rich, imaginative and soothing sounds only with his acoustic guitar and his warm and moving voice. His songs are familiar like an old friend leading you home with a soulful energy that will warm your heart.
Stefan Drechsel’s first single release ‘The Blue Yonder’ has been praised as a ‘perfect musical representation of those moments of beauty which materialise from ether but disappear before they can be captured in a song’ (Mudkiss Fanzine). His much anticipated debut album ‘Here and Now’ will be released in summer 2013.
Stefan Drechsel’s music has been described as an unusual blend of the young Leonard Cohen, the early Coldplay, Nick Drake and Jeff Buckley, though Stefan Drechsel refers to his music as ‘just sounding like me’.
Serenity and imagination are at the heart of Stefan Drechsel's live performances, threaded through his lyrics and expressed through masterful, intricate exploration of the acoustic guitar.
