Does Biggie Smalls really need an intro? He was one of the key artists that brought hip hop to new commercial heights in the mid 90s and permanently entrenched the culture into the mainstream. But alas, this also signaled the end of the golden era and quickly led to the coastal rivalries and the divisive underground/indie/backpacker movement. This week we’re messing with a 5 mic classic, Biggie’s “Juicy”, and infusing it with some super dynamite soul courtesy of Dutch outfit, The Soul Snatchers. We dedicate this to the readers of Word Up Magazine and to the listeners of WBLS’ Rap Attack...it’s all good baby, baby.
