ad.lib is a common abbreviation for „ad libitum“ which is latin and means "at one's pleasure". It is often used in jazz-music for the description of the improvisation parts - the parts where musicians stop thinking and start to feel the song and play for the moment. that is exactly what electronic music means to ad.lib. He tries to create moments and situations with his music. music which contains a lot of the raw energy and the density inspired by early techno sounds of Detroit and Berlin. heavy subbasses, intense atmospheres and layers of weird fx and dubby chords. slowly evolving patterns and sudden changes. it's all about loosing yourself in sound. about space. about time standing still.

ad.lib is actually working hard on new releases for labels like Affin, BCR, Gynoid, Cromosom, amm and has played DJ gigs at some of the worlds most renowned clubs like Tresor Berlin or Hive Zurich.

His recent music has been played and supported by Artists like Luke Slater, Speedy J, T47, Pfirter, Samuel L. Session, Nima Khak, Thomas Hessler, Josh Wink, Marco Bailey, Jonas Kopp, Jeroen Search, Joachim Spieth amm.
