Penny Arcade Monologue (captured while sick with a chest cold.) Uploaded by starkaudio Start following Send a message on November 09, 2009 12:54
When I get chest colds, my voice gets all scratchy and evil sounding. I always said I would record "evil guy monologue" but never got around to it till this morning. Here you go. Now I'm going back to bed. *cough cough* If you need voice actor work, today is the day to send it to me. :P The...- 01 pftdcast intro Artwork

Awesome! FTW to the max here, we don't hear from you too often, but it's quality that's important, not quantity, and you definitely have that down.

@Campadrenalin: I'm on the one-post-per-month plan. :)
- Campadrenalin on October 02, 2009 06:07
@starkaudio: Ah, that would definitely explain it. For a short period of my life, I was doing a song a week, but then other parts of my life started getting in the way (such as attending school), and it fell apart. But it was a fun insanity while it lasted.

I love how your songs evoke strong moods and inspire me to write stories that follow the flow... if I were to recommend anything, it would be to add reverb to some tracks to make it more 'ethereal,' since it seems that's part of the feel you're going for.

- starkaudio on February 17, 2009 01:19
@Rhythm In Mind: I'll have to go look up what the heck IDM is. :P And pray tell what melody timbre would be more "IDM"-y? Something a bit more jagged? Hoover-y? I really don't have a clue about most electronic genres. Granted I don't plan to change it, but I'd like to know for future reference. Learning is everything here.

One thing to remember when listening to some of these tracks is to raise the volume on your listening device. They're not all over-compressed like so much music today. It's more enjoyable to let tracks breath at a lower average level, and try to give them a wider dynamic range...making for softer quiet parts and louder louds. So turn it up a bit!
