This is a remix of a madrigal from the 1600's, called April is in My Mistress' Face. The lyrics read thus:
April is in my mistress' face
And July in her eyes hath place
Within her bosom is September
But in her heart, a cold December
The last line is where inspiration for the title came from, since "April is in My Mistress' Face (Stargame Remix)" is a little bit too long of a title. This was inspired by my choir teacher back at my old high school, who told the choir at large "If you ask him nicely enough, our Gavin might remix this for us," which sent my brain reeling. This song is dark, moody, and somewhat powerful. It starts with a deep swell, moves to a nice sliced-up choir section, moves to the strings which play the basic main melody, then after a string-only section, moves to the verses, where the song really begins to shine. I cut out one line of the lyrics, because it didn't quite fit. It came out really good nonetheless.. This is one of my more favorite remixes I've done. I'm not entirely sure where I got the choir recording from (upon reflection, I now question the legality of the place), but I know that the specific recording I used was performed by Coral de Sao Domingos, so I believe they deserve the credit for providing the vocals for this song which really make the magic happen. As the song is somewhere around four-hundred years old, I highly doubt there is a copyright on the song, but I still would like to give credit to the choir that sang it so well. Anyway, enjoy!

@Stargame: you are right - the choir stems are unexpected - but great:)

This is the track that got me listening to you. Fantastic blend of elements. Really energetic and powerful. This is also a sign that the world needs more madrigal trance.

Excellent. I had heard that it was public domain after 100 years, but I'll take 75 happily :D
Thank you very much sir, and thank you for posting it ^_^ - protagonistrec

Cool track dude. There may be copyright on the recording, but I believe things become public domain after 75 years, so you're free to do whatever you like with the arrangement with no consequences.
