STACE CONSTANTINOU is a London composer whose music is rooted in the classical traditional resulting from a philosophical depth of meaning sounding at times spontaneous, expressive, melancholic, fiery, rational whilst its spirit moves with musical ghosts.
Patterns including mathematical, musical, visual, linguistic, or the frequency spectrum of a musical instrument for example, are used to form his material. He explores the boundary of harmonic conceivability using microtones, complexity, ambiguity, noise, sound objects, illusion and allusion.
His pieces have been performed in concerts and festivals in Britain, on BBC national radio, in continental Europe and in Australia.
