About
Hailing from Oxford SR & Digbee have been following Drum & Bass since 1991 and have been producing together for 10 years.
Andy started his production experience engineering at Tongue and Cheek recording studios in Oxford where he worked for three years. He also toured as keyboard player in a band (Neustar) which performed all over the country they also went on to license tracks on a few compilation albums. Andy then went on to produce some white labels and he also had a radio show on a pirate station in London (Emotion FM) plus deejaying at local events in and around the Oxford area.
Ben has always tinkered with studio kit and studied a Sound Engineering course at Earth Studios in Birmingham. He has also spent many years honing his DJ skills ready to destroy the clubs.
After hooking up with Andy the pair locked themselves away in the studio together to bring together the beats together. They stepped up their game after receiving airplay on Fabio’s Radio 1 show.
Since then they have numerous releases on DJ Vapour’s 36 Hertz Recordings. “Spitfire” on the Various Artists “More Fire EP” was the first release with other tracks from DJ Vapour, Lutin and Stirling Sounds featuring on the EP which has had DJ support from Hazard, Kenny Ken, The Upbeats, Peshay, Harvest, Basher, DJ Hype, Pascal, Ruffstuff, Doc Scott, Storm, Dr S Gachet, Randall and many more.
The Pairs Second release was the haunting “Morning Strummer” On the “Aztec Bass EP” again on 36 Hertz Recordings with other tracks from Acuna, DJ Hybrid and Ricky Force which is a pure classic roller with twisted out vocals and 36 Hertz style bass. Huge Support once again with plays from Crissy Criss, Nicky Blackmarket, Aries, Basher, Peshay, DJ Hype, BSE, Optiv, Krust, Hazard, Doc Scott, DJ Die, Sudden Def, DJ Chef, Kenny Ken, Drum Sound, Taxman and Randall.
“Stem Cell” followed soon after released with a track from Callide fuses a sublime string lead intro with a tear out drop with support from DJs from around the globe. With their first debut 4 track Hard Life EP out in March on 36 Hertz and some other projects coming up they are definitely a duo to look out for.
