Analysis of the form
Our first observation is a minimalist interior, which – while undeniably very interesting and intriguing itself – also acts as the perfect backdrop to whatever decorative arrangements are needed for the theme and atmosphere of any given event at the club. Image wizards, armed with slidoscopes and projectors are able to completely transform the entire club space – both the main room and the smaller, relaxing chillout room.

The whole picture is made complete by the fabulous sight that is the DJ booth, which pours forth a heady mixture of dry ice and the superb sounds of the biggest stars in the Polish and international electronic music firmament. SQ is the only club in Poland that so regularly puts on world-famous artists from the dance music world, and the SQ residents – Juniore, Base and Hagal – are respected throughout Poland and on the international scene as club DJs and presenters of radio shows that promote the energising sounds of electronic music.

Our next observation is the other artistic events that take place at the club: exhibitions, concerts and private events whose subtle play of light diffuses the darkness of the heavy club beats.

The art of attracting lovers of good dance music down to a tee. The basic function of the subject is to smooth rough edges and shape the clubbing community.

Analysis of contents
The subject consists of electronic dance music. We can find all styles here as well as original disco, funk and soul. DJs are often accompanied by musicians and vocalists, and artists also perform live dance music. The entertainment value of the subject is enriched by eye-catching images created by well known and respected VJs.

A unique dynamic composition that pushes its own boundaries. SQ CLUB puts on concerts in unusual places, such as the Old Brewery Atrium, as part of its SQ LIVE series. So far this series has included performances from Matthew Herbert, Smolik, The Cinematic Orchestra, Kosheen, Roisin Murphy, De Phazz and Nouvelle Vague.

In the summer the club organises the regular outdoor event SQ NA DZIEDZIŃCU, in Poznan’s Castle Courtyard, and SQ NA MALCIE in the enchanting environs of Poznan’s Malta Lake. Also gaining a strong reputation are the two-day events on Chalupy beach on the Hel peninsular, SQ NA HELLU.

Our impressions
SQ Club makes a huge impression, a fact proven by the yearly prizes, awards and high positions it achieves in club ranking tables. Drawn to the club by their admiration for the art and mastery of the artists that appear at SQ, lovers of music and a good time regularly flock to the club from all over the country.
