Spykee (DANCE ROCK TAIPEI, Taiwan)
Spykeeは、3年間台北で人気イベント"Dance Rock Taipei"を主催し、Electro、Tech-House、Technoをmix upしたstyleを通して 、現在の台北のクラブ・ミュージック・シーンで最も注目される DJ の一人である。'02年、Drum & Bass DJ としてデビューし、確かなスキルを持ち、また2manydjs に深く影響を受け、現在は広いジャンルで活動している。'08年には、Indie-Dance DJ デュオ "TOMODACHI" を結成。すぐに現地最大のフェスティバル "FORMOZ FESTIVAL" に招待され、パフォーマンスを披露した。半年後、TOMODACHIを解散。Spykee は台湾のクラブ・シーンの可能性を感じ、自らのイベント"Dance Rock Taipei" をスタートさせた。2009~2010の2年間、2manydjs、Steve Aoki、Felix Cartal、Designer Drugs、Shitdisco、Dexpistols、The Lowbrows、DJ Kyoko、MYSS、Death Is Not My Aim等と共演し、人気ウェブサイトWaakao.comは、2009年台湾ベストDJに Spykee を選んだ。2011年には、Brodinskiをはじめ、Gesaffelstein、Style of Eye、BeatauCue、Renaissance Man を招待したパーティーを主催し、共演を果たしている。Spykeeは、今後のアジアでの活躍が最も期待されているアーティストだ。
Spykee began his career in 2002 as the resident DJ for highly regarded Taipei dance club “SPIN” specializing in Drum n Bass. Then in 2004 he was convinced to switch his residency to Taipei’s coolest club venue the “PARTYROOM” where he mixed it up with local legend DJ Mykal. At the same time he appeared at events with renowned names such as Japan's Dexpistols, Gaines, Andy C, DJ Craze and DJ Marky.
In 2006 he moved into Indie-Dance territory and 2 years later founded the first Taiwanese Indie-Dance DJ duo “TOMODACHI” with F Dragon. Shortly after he was invited to perform in one of the biggest local events the “FORMOZ FESTIVAL”. As well as appearing at gigs with the likes of Steve Aoki and Uffie, Vicarious Bliss and Guns & Bombs.
TOMODACHI then split but 2009 turned into a break out year as demand for Spykee to play sky rocketed resulting in appearances alongside some of the best Electro & Indie Dance Rock artists from Japan & further afield including Steve Aoki, Shit-disco, Dexpistols, Chaki (The Lowbrows), DJ Kyoko, Masayasu (MYSS), Death Is Not My Aim and Singapore's Clash the Disco Kids to name a few.
He also began producing his own events under the Dance Rock Taipei (D.R.T.P) label and in August appeared in Singapore for the “One Man Party” DJ set.
Spykee’s busy schedule has continued into 2010 with an invitation to be the official DJ of the 2010 Taipei PUMA Fashion Show, the warm-up DJ for the 2manydjs Taipei gig and local media WaaKao.com annointing him Taiwan's best DJ for 2009.
Following in the footsteps of one of his all-time favorites, 2manydjs, Spykee is noted for the way he smoothly mixes tracks from totally different styles into hard hitting blow your mind sets. His gigs are made for dancing and feeling the groove of Electro, Techno, House, Bassline, Dubstep and Indie-rock.
