A remix of an original track by Blistered and Bound, the Crickets Still Smile - the original of which can be found here: Blistered & Bound, the crickets still smile - The genial Terence Weld by Vasco Pereira
I have left the core of the song largely intact and have not arsed about with the vocals at all. When I get the time I will have a go at deconstructing the track even further and making a mix that is less recognisable.
I used Creative Commons-licensed samples from freesound.org as follows:
"Heartbeat" by Herbert Boland: http://www.freesound.org/people/HerbertBoland/sounds/28343/
"Heartbeat Enhanced No Hiss" by 13ardoc: http://www.freesound.org/people/l3ardoc/sounds/52895/
"Tribal Drums" by Herbert Boland: http://www.freesound.org/people/HerbertBoland/sounds/30167/
"Irregular Heartbeat" by Zimm: http://www.freesound.org/people/zimm/sounds/32858/
"Monster" by Sea Fury: http://www.freesound.org/people/Sea%20Fury/sounds/48662/
"Guitar String Ominous" by nicStage: http://www.freesound.org/people/nicStage/sounds/1178/

@Selski Becks: Thanks, though technically they are not my beats... BUT I was the one who "corrupted" them as we progress towards the end of the song. I wanted to make it sound like a drum machine was malfunctioning.

@Vasco Pereira: Thanks, although I'm not sure how many times I can get away with using the tampura. That and the EBow guitar are kinda Spurious Transients trademarks - although it felt weird to be mixing a track with EBow guitar on it that wasn't played by me.

@VulpineSmile: My pleasure... I originally had the idea of putting this vocal section behind some Burundi drumming (think Adam & the Ants "Kings of the Wild Frontier") but I couldn't find any royalty-free samples of that, so somehow I ended up with these drums instead (played on timpani, I think) which seemed to fit quite nicely.

@bass institute: Thanks! I'm more pleased with it now listening back a few days later - you know what it's like when you've been working on the same song all day long, it's hard to distance yourself from it.

@tһę ʘḅliɠɑŧiðήʂ: Is that a good "Whoa"? (I hope so!)

@flowermouth: I think I'd have liked to have gone even more industrial sounding. Oh well, I'll just have to have another go at remixing it!
Thanks! - flowermouth

Hey Gavin, didn't know that you could do such a complicated Industrial Remix. Well done.

Thank you very much for this fine addition to the group. I like very much the Eastern flavour that you added to this. Good stuff
