Zach Moore Live from Ghost Ship Apocalypse

This year's Ghost Ship Halloween celebration was bigger and more elaborate than it has ever been. The theme was the Apocalypse and the main stage, where I played at 2 AM, featured a giant UFO shooting beams of light into a crowd of a thousand costumed ravers dancing in the ruins of a post-apocalyptic town square. At one point during MoPo's set (he played just before me), a fake bull was raised up into the belly of the spaceship in mock sacrifice which drew a chorus of hoots and hollers from the dance floor. It was without a doubt one of my favorite sets of 2012. Absolute madness!

My sincere thanks to Space Cowboys Managing Partner, Andrea Lundquist, and Sunset SF's, Robbie Kowal, for the blood, sweat and tears they poured into Ghost Ship again this year. The event would not have happened without them. Also, huge props to The Make Big Art team led by Joel and Eli for transforming that massive empty hangar on Treasue Island into a sick and twisted, post-apocalyptic Halloween dance party.

Finally, a big shout out to the iBreaks label for hooking me up with a pre-release copy of "Gods" from Colombo's forthcoming album, "Abandoned Factory". It was the perfect intro for this set.
