Soyoung Yoon is one of the most outstanding young violinists and the winner of the International Henryk Wieniawski Violin Competition in 2011.
Soyoung Yoon studied with Kim Nam-Yun in South Korea and with Zakhar Bron at the Musikhochschule in Cologne and Zurich. As a prize winner of the prestigious Tchaikovsky (2007), Queen Elisabeth (2009) and Indianapolis (2010) competitions and gold medalist of 14th Wieniawski Competition (2011), Soyoung Yoon performs as a soloist with the Moscow Virtuosi, the London Mozart Players, the Trondheim Soloists, the Zurich Chamber Orchestra, the Belgian National Orchestra, the Orchestre Symphonique de Québec, the WDR Sinfonieorchester Köln and the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra. She plays a violin from J. B. Guadagnini (ex-Bückeburg, 1773) and as a member of the Stradivari a violin from A. G. Stradivari (King George, 1710).
