Music is the common denominator that binds all cultures, no matter the geography. I truly believe it has the power to change the thinking of people. With that in mind I made the decision long ago to become a dj. It seemed like a perfect opportunity to do my small part in the world. In the beginning I got lost in the hype. Our culture is not compatible with letting go of one's ego. Yet as the years go by, I am beginning to understand the importance of opening both the ears AND the mind. With this realization, I assume the inherent responsibility that comes with it. It is about providing a soundscape: a groove that hopefully everyone can relate to and enjoy. Anyone can set up a playlist and fade in and out of songs. I constantly strive to be a bit more than a glorified human jukebox. Infectious vibes that enlighten and entertain, that is my objective these days. Given the opportunity, I do my best to provide a soundscape that emulates the richness and diversity of music the world over. Suffice it to say, 'soundsofsatori' is more than just another dj or producer moniker, it is what I am aspiring to as a musician and dj.
