I am a multi instrumentalist and composer. I am concentrating on field recording at the current time. This is mostly of the natural world for sound art installations and for future CD releases of soundscapes.

    @Frank the terrorist: Thanks for such kind words. The mics were placed so the chick was central but mics pointing outwards. The recording is not binaural. Road NT55s used here set in Rycote Baby Balgags

    @Wild Ambience: I agree with Utu, the sounds are changing here in the north from the joyous spring is here that you can also hear in this recording to the cold morning "oh good there is food here" calls that we have now.

    Nice and clean sounding pre-amps and love the rhythmic parts to this. would be cool to isolate a few bars and loop as the basis for percussion.

    Thanks Klasse! Interesting how they are likely to be together, I guess a number of factors are involved, not sure what they would be though. This was recorded in France near to the Baie De Somme at Parc du Marquenterre.

    Another beautiful recording.. Might have to come over myself! ;< ) Depressed to hear of what happened with the forestry, but it seems to have brought new species in, so maybe it has done some good, even if it does not look pretty anymore. Great selection of species throughout. Love that close pass by the Snipe. I find it quite daunting that for you it already so quiet. Here it is still full of birdsong and dawn chorus, though not anywhere near as full and loud as it was just 3 years ago. Best wishes to you Klasse and thanks for sharing these recordings.
