It was interesting how you talked about Van Morrison's music expressing the extremes of emotion. Life has deep valleys and high mountains and I think Morrison got it right putting that into song. When I am feeling really low or really high nothing seems to be on my level except music. I totally agree about Lorde's lyrics. She is an amazing writer and person. She is incredibly grounded especially for her age. I don't agree that the album could have used more of a sense of humor. I thought that the album came from her and who she is as it should be. I don't see how you don't like the simplicity of the music and the "big billowy bass line." That's part of what I love about it!

Astral Weeks sounds like the happiest accident in the world. There's no other album quite like it.
