is a mixture of experimental / ambient / breakcore / idm / trip-hop / glitch / electronic music. This project started in 2008. The idea was to experiment with different genres and types of music using conventional and unconventional instruments (bass, electric guitar, keyboard, percussion, computer generated sounds, beats and noises and kaos pads, rhythm machines and other analog electronic equipment).
Founder of SOUND OF ILLUSION is Ivan Milan Matić, a musician from Belgrade, Serbia, south-east Europe (guitar / bass / keyboards / programming / sampling / live electronics / production).
His friends, fellow musicians and artists, are also part of this project from time to time (and can be heard on some of these tracks). Few of them, together with Ivan, were members of Ivan's former band - DEVICE EXPERIENCE (ambient / trip-hop / experimental / rock), previously also known as DEVICE KONFLICT. Ivan loves to collaborate with different artists, so he prefers to perform his music as a live concert, instead of a DJ set.
