Sooko is Noom Srisunakorn, an electronic music producer that currently hails from Texas. He has always embraced every style of music in order to understand the in's and out's of what makes that kind of music great. His love for electronic ethereal productions began after diving deep into various types of electronic music by artists such as Flying Lotus, J-Dilla, Nujabes, Ta-ku, Thievery Corporation, Daedelus, DJ Shadow, Groove Armada, Boards of Canada, Elliot Lipp, Jimmy Edgar, and Aether. In 2007, Noom met Diego Chavez aka Aether to the beat making world and they quickly became good friends. By way of their friendship, Noom was exposed to Exponential Records, a local DIY experimental label owned by Ernest Gonzales aka as Mexican with Guns. He began playing bass for A.M. Architect, building his DAW skill level, and cultivating his mentality as a music producer. Shortly after these relationships were established, Sooko was created. Now, after gathering good and bad sound artifacts from all types of sources, Noom takes every opportunity to combine his deepest personal emotions with his compositions that result in the Sooko songs of today.
His music production is made possible with FL Studio, Ableton Live, and the Akai APC40 midi controller (among other little tech goodies). His artwork has been designed by Colton Holliday (Hardy Fixins cover) and Diego Chavez (To Your Health cover). Also, a special thanks to Bad Panda Records for all the support.
'Whether it’s late morning hours that demand loping, musical swagger or merely a time-out from the madness, Sooko’s songs are the ones to tune the world out with.' - 303 Magazine
