Slam deliver yet another exciting remix package, bringing old and new together in one release with storming remixes from Jerome Sydenham & ROD
Slam's classic Positive Education is up first with Jerome giving it a suitably modern Techno update. After the driving intro, the original's baseline surfaces beneath the folds of reverb and crashing drums as Jerome delivers an out and out dance floor destroyer. For Jerome's second remix on the release he takes on Variance, part of Slams Paragraph project. Once again Jerome effortlessly makes this his own, his driving percussion sits atop Slam's original searing high pitched siren. Jerome brings the noise with this version!
Finally, newcomer to the techno scene ROD weighs in with two excellent interpretations of Positive Education. 'Remix One' blasts off with a hypnotic loop of the original baseline, slowly drawing out the synths before kicking through with splashing rides. 'Remix Two' strips things back a little, giving the track a more jacking nature. Ping pong delays and full on 909 drums are in effect here as this remix bursts at the seams with energy.
