Mike Outram and I went into the studio a couple of weeks ago, and came out with a couple of hours of really fun music. We're in the process of selecting, editing, mixing and mastering it for an album, but here's the first publically available tune from it.

@John McLaughlin: thanks John! Yeah, it's pretty tough to work out what's me and what's Mike at some parts :) I've never really had much time for how instruments *should* sound, just how music can sound :)

Mighty fine track! I love the way the conventional boundaries are blurred between bass and guitar. Of course, there are no boundaries!

@ColouredLines: that fluttering sound? That's what happens when you do Victor Wooten-esque double thumb + finger picking on a bass with massive fat strings. it ends up being more flamenco than anything :)
