This tune has been recorded twice before - both times were on youtube-only - the first one is here (still the definitive one), but I did it live in Edinburgh a few weeks later and that's here.

This is another recording test, as much as anything - this time I've used putting mild compression on a master output channel as a way of 'soft mastering' the tune - Audiodesk (the recording software that came with my MOTU Ultralite soundcard) doesn't have any audio-editing software in it, so I've got Audacity, or I can export a mix to my PC and do it on Adobe Audition... or, I can see how far I can get with exporting amazing mixes from the multitrack... I'm sure for the final project I'll mix and master it properly.

Recording-wise, this is the stereo signal from the bass, and one mono channel of looperlative (STILL not got that chip replaced - need to look at that ASAP...)

    Hope you enjoy it..

@mickpuck: thanks guys, it came out in the first improv version (on youtube), and has stuck in there and become *the song*... will see where it goes over the next few recordings :)

@euskir: yeah, I know of quite a few bits of mastering software - Audacity isn't a serious option, don't worry :) Am in the process of deciding what to get next...

@pateran: Thanks very much - I keep thinking I ought to upgrade my processor to something that's still made (just in case it ever breaks!) but I love the sounds in my Lexicon so much!

@Russ Sargeant: thanks Russ! Yeah, having a bass with no laquer on it makes the wood 'breathe' more - only bass like that Modulus have ever made :)

      Hello Steve:
Beautiful music... Do you know Bias Peak and Bias Deck?, are very good audio applications much better than Audacity, of course there's a little issue, not free...
      Best wishes, as always,

      Federico (aka euskir)
