Chris Miner aka solarone is a musician, composer, psycho-sonic-sound wave surfer, aural astronaut, free-stylin' feedbacker, wigged-out wah pedaling waltzer, writer, artist, visionary, and owner of Mind Altering Records
Experimental musician/composer Chris Miner began recording and performing in 1996. He released "Kali in Spring," "November Kali," and "the Paris Sessions" with independent record company Dark World in 2000 and 2001, under the band name Pisces Shadow. In 2002, Chris started a new band called solarminds. He co-wrote and produced a track with M.T. Hollis on his record "America's Finest" which was released on the label M.T. Minded Industries in 2004. Also in 2004, Chris composed an extended piece titled, "Samurai Sun." "Samurai Sun" is the first in a related series of compositions under the title "Sun sessions." Excerpts from "Samurai Sun" were used on a Tai Chi instructional DVD produced by Sherie Hubble in 2005. Chris founded Mind Altering Records in 2005 as a venue to release his own music. In 2008, "a lighthouse for the Sun," the debut album from solarminds was released on Mind Altering Records.
