The first time I heard the instrumental track Red by Indigolab the vocal melody hit me straight away. So I volunteered to write the lyrics and perform the vox. Tom sent me his stems which have been left for the most part as they were and I've added strings and a couple of little keys here and there as well as the choral backing for the vox. Mixed and mastered at Soft E Studio, Sydney, Australia
Wouldn't it be nice
To journey through this life
Not wishing you'd never said
Not feeling blue or seeing red
To never feel a heartache
Or hurt someone you love
To never be resentful
Feel suspicion or mistrust
But it's so plain to see
That the nature of humanity
Is to be tainted by regrets
To be too quick seeing red
There is always pain and sadness
In each and every life
As our dreams get dashed upon the rocks
And we struggle and we fight
And so I say to you my friends
Life is what you make it
Always try to make amends
Stop feeling blue and seeing red
You'll never dodge the heartaches
But you can minimise the pain
Just live your lives the best you can
And that should keep you sane
@Paul Dye: Yup Tom had an already great tune with this......it was a privilege to work with it.............thanks for the great feedback!
Great stuff, kind of a chilled Pink Floyd vibe - as well as the vocals, I love the subtle synth touches you've added. I've done a couple of things myself with Tom - his tunes are great springboards for doing something different with :)
Found a space to comment :D I love the guitar, amazing melodies here. I love the vocal! Keep it up, amazing work! :D
Very rich deep vocal to a soothing and compelling musical accompaniment.
@Soft Enerji: Very peaceful, this song works very well. Thoughtful too. A lovely mix of the vocal, guitar and an electronic backing
@*Smark*: Thanks you markus, really appreciate your comments..........and glad you found the lyrics ;)
@*Smark*: cool, just saw that you wrote down the song text ;-)
gr8 collab Mark, didn't know that you've got such a great and warm voice. Unfortunately my English is too weak to understand the wording :( To read is much easier, lol. ...The song somehow reminds me of the good old Pink Floyd. Well done!
really love the gentle nature of this track - soft guitar and almost subliminal pads. vocals add quite nicely. faved.
Super super chill and almost glowing with atmosphere behind that guitar :D
@Baby Schulz--- "likewyse": That's great feedback, cheers!
