When Ed (G.E.M) and I wrote this track I hadn't actually started using Soundcloud so it only ever got put up on Ed's site. I figured it's about time I put it on mine.
The song came about when Ed and I decided to write something.....dark. I'd had the beginnings of this sitting around for a while but hadn't taken it any further. As I'd already given it the title Dark Street and the line "I never got to see her in the light, but that somehow seemed alright" was already written, it seemed the perfect piece to work on. I was right! It quickly took on a life of it's own and was truly a collaboration in every way.....we even did the artwork together:)
The original release date was deliberate Halloween 2010:)

Well that was a superb colab and a great song I have to say. The music was filled with all the right elements and was gorgeous mate, and well apt with the title. The vocals were superb and blended in perfectly to the music, and it had really great lyrics which made a great song and made a superb composition I have to say. I for one loved it mate and you and Ed did a super job on this I have to say. Marvellous stuff mate.

@Zitan: Thanks Zitan! It was the first collab between Ed GEM and myself......one of those tunes that I'm sure we all have kicking around that never get finished.........well, as soon as I sent the bare bones to Ed we ended up with this.......and we're both stoked with the result!

This song is one year old today (from a release point of view anyway, the original idea had been bouncing around my head and my sequencer for a while before that).............Happy Halloween! this song' s got an extraordinary quality...everything I could mention is just class...melody ...vocals...instrumentation...a .s .o. ...but sorry the timbre of the voice reminds me a little bit on P.G. , who's one of the greatest for me...hope you can live with this :)
