Well as you can see from my profile my name is Sophie-Louise, I'm 21 and live in Birmingham. I am currently a BMus (Hons) degree student at Birmingham Conservatoire specialising in Composition and Music Technology under Martin Riley, Andy Portas, James Dooley, Dr. Michael Wolters and Dr. Simon Hall.
From an early age my experiences as a performer have allowed me to slowly work my way into the world of theatre, working closely with Robert Fox (AD Music/Code Indigo). Among many projects Sophie has been involved heavily with the Royal Shakespeare Company in particular the Children's Festivals that have taken place over the last six years.
Within the field of Music Technology I have explored many different projects ranging from live concert and studio recording to arranging and sequencing. In particular though I specialise in live onsite PA and recording, mixing and mastering along with complete theatre soundtrack design.
Currently I am working on creating installation spaces incorporating my programming skills within Pure Data, Max MSP, Mat Lab, Arduino and Processing. This will then allow me to engage an audience whilst user their interaction with the space as a control trigger.
