Slydex [ Modal Analysis ] Greece
Slydex was born in the Greek capital Athens in the late 80′s and raised in one of the most overcrowded neighborhoods of the city. His biggest Influence in music since his early years was his father. He had thousands of records and was really into music technology. He started singing in a rock band at the age of 14 but he also had influenced by disco, pop and house music. At almost the same time he started collecting his own Cd’s and playing them at school house parties until the time he explored the decks of a local bar. Later at high school he discovered the world of techno and so far his Dj sets are traveling between techno, house and experimental music. Though his Dj career he had the chance to perform at some of the best clubs in Greece, something that gave him the strength to organize his own parties. Since 2011 along with some fellow Dj’s he hosts the "Reform" party series in Athens and until now they organize quality electronic dance music events. During those last years Slydex had performed along with several artists like Kangding Ray, Milton Bradley, Delta Funktionen, Marcelus, Nina Kraviz, Claudio PRC and many more. Right now Slydex studies music production, works on his first music tracks and does vocals for several projects. In 2012 Slydex, Hiori and Alxp launched their own conceptual electronic music label called “Modal Analysis” in order to highlight and promote worldwide the new sophisticated techno sound of Greece.

I can't get over this 19.454 track. It's everything techno should be. Minimal, pounding, catchy... One of my favorite pieces of the last 12 months.
