San Francisco-via-Australia’s own David West (Burning Sensation and Rank/Xerox) and his cohorts from Total Control have effectively mined the same musical aesthetic that made early indie post punk records from England so very exciting. If you can imagine bands such as Joy Division and Cabaret Voltaire having to practice at a really low volume because the landlord is just below, then you’ll get the very idea of this record and love it. Totally atmospheric, lovely gloom and doom; it’s brilliant bedsit music for the modern age. Buy! ( from the Big Takeover - http://bigtakeover.com/ )
