About

In 2006 Slew began with spinning vinyl, but already at the age of 14 he got hooked to electronic music and through the years, his taste has developed and refined to the music he plays nowadays.

His sound can be best described as a warm mix of deep house to (tech-) house and techno, which is defined by subtle mixes, enchanting build-ups and tunes that strike you.

As a member of the Afterling (fairytale afterparties) and Fanatiek (intimate techno parties) crew, he is also busy with organising parties in Rotterdam.

Besides dj’ing individually, he's also part of the live-act Lift It Up, in which Morad the Sjeik, Tijs on Sax and Arne van Rietschoten, Deena, Erwin van Asperen and Slew combine their own produced tracks with live, warm and funky sax and piano sounds, vocals and percussion. Both with Lift It Up and as an individual he played at quite a few gigs and festivals throughout the country and Germany as well.

Another project he's in, is one8six. Formed by Morad the Sjeik and Stefan Meijerink at the beginning of 2011, one8six is a producers collective that explores the full spectrum of techno music and is now working hard on tracks and their liveset.

Individually he is also producing and is now working hard and with lots of inspiration on music that fits the kind of music he plays in his dj sets, but also more experimental things. His hard work payed off and in 2010 the first releases followed on the record labels PM Deep and Unusual Sound.
