Florida based disco obsessive Sleazy McQueen offers the digital music buying public a brief glimpse into his world via this Whisky Disco sampler that culls the best of his reworks under a multiplicity of aliases previously only available to fans of buying records. "Lolita" reworks the track of the same name from a Beach Boys tribute act, whilst "Baby I Just Want To Love You" expands the intro of Jonelle Allen's disco standard with real expertise. Tres Gueros highlight just how funky the Grateful Dead can be on "Shakedown Street" whilst "Oh Sheila" is perhaps the best rework here, with 2 Space Astronauts aka McQueen adding some dirt to the mid 80s proto new jack swing anthem. Melody Stewart gets a bassy heavy mid tempo chug overhaul on "Tandava" whilst "Straight On" somehow reworks the smock rock of Heart as shimmering disco goodness. (review courtesy of Junodownload)
