I began DJing at 15. Since then, Ive won DJ comps, appeared in IDJ Magazine & made a racket on the radio, playing all around my home town, further afield within the UK, as well as overseas gigs-many of which have featured alongside some of the scenes bigger names, varying from huge mainstream DJs, to renowned underground artists & those on the cusp of making a name for themselves.
Im into the deeper side of house & techno, from Detroit/Chicago to Berlin & while not limited to uptempo stuff, I do enjoy more downtempo material, particularly with heavy Soul, Funk & Disco influences.
Im not interested in trying to be anal & exclusively upfront. I think that in these days of digital media & disposable music, depth definitely goes a long way. I still love getting my fingers dusty & finding those gems, records that still work today, & who knows, if they fall on fresh ears & are introduced to a newer, younger audience, then surely thats a good thing?
